The silhouettes were symmetric knee length dresses, which shows shift in lengths and gradually changing colors from earthy tones to night colors.

Tiffany & Co reported financial results for its second quarter ended July 31, 2009. Sales and net earnings were below last year but exceeded expectations, and management increased its outlook for the full year accordingly.
Michael J. Kowalski, chairman and chief executive officer, said, %u201CWhile economic and retail conditions remain challenging, we were encouraged to see many stores achieving either smaller year-over-year rates of sales declines or modest sales growth compared with the past two quarters. More importantly, Tiffany's strong financial and operating position allows us to continue to expand our global presence in pursuit of robust, long-term growth.%u201D
Net sales in the second quarter declined 16% to $612.5 million. On a constant-exchange-rate basis,Womens ralph lauren, which excludes the effect of translating foreign-currency-denominated sales into U.S. dollars, worldwide net sales declined 14% and comparable store sales declined 16% (see attached %u201CNon-GAAP Measures%u201D schedule).
Net sales in the six-month (first half) period ended July 31, 2009 declined 19% to $1,130.1 million. On a constant-exchange-rate basis,Ralph lauren outlet, net sales and comparable store sales declined 16% and 18%.
In the second quarter, net earnings from continuing operations were $56.7 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, compared with $82.6 million, or $0.64 per diluted share, in the prior year. Net earnings and net earnings per diluted share were $56.8 million and $0.46, versus $80.8 million and $0.63 in the prior year. Net earnings in 2009 include $0.07 per diluted share of non-recurring income related to a loan recovery and tax reserve adjustments (see below).
In the first half, net earnings from continuing operations were $84.2 million, or $0.68 per diluted share, compared with last year's $149.2 million, or $1.16 per diluted share. Net earnings and net earnings per diluted share were $81.1 million and $0.65, versus $145.2 million and $1.13 in the prior year.
Beginning in the second quarter of 2009, financial results for the Iridesse subsidiary are classified as discontinued operations in the statement of earnings for the current and prior year periods.
In the Americas,wholesale ralph lauren polo, sales declined 23% to $324.9 million in the second quarter and 27% to $583.9 million in the first half. Comparable U.S. store sales declined 27% in the second quarter and 30% in the first half; comparable branch store sales declined 26% and 29%, while sales in the New York flagship store declined 30% and 36%. Combined Internet and catalog sales in the U.S. declined 8% in the second quarter and 12% in the first half.
In the Asia-Pacific region, sales in the second quarter declined 1% to $211.9 million as sales growth in most countries was offset by a decline in Japan. Sales in the first half declined 5% to $413.4 million. On a constant-exchange-rate basis, sales declined 3% in the second quarter and 5% in the first half, with comparable store sales declining 4% and 7%. Second Quarter Results from Operations 
Oscar Feldenkreis, President and COO commented, %u201CWe are proud of delivering a second quarter slightly ahead of last year%u2019s net earnings, particularly under very challenging times. Perry Ellis International%u2019s management has acted decisively to reduce costs and respond to the challenges created by the current macroeconomic environment. We are pleased with the progress we have made and we remain laser focused on improving the performance of our divisions.%u201D
Net loss for the second quarter of fiscal 2010 at $5.3 million represents a slight improvement to a loss of $5.4 million during the quarter ended July 31, 2008 (%u201Csecond quarter of fiscal 2009%u201D). During the second quarter of fiscal 2010, gross margins at 30.9% decreased by 120 bps impacted by the planned exit and inventory liquidation of the licensed PING golf and Dockers outerwear businesses, compared to 32.1% for the second quarter of fiscal 2009. Margins were also challenging in swimwear products and bottoms private label programs.
%u201CClose collaboration with our retail partners, better mark-down management through our sophisticated planning systems and acute strategic door management provided for a reduction in markdowns and sales allowances from 9% of gross sales in Q2 last year to approximately 7% this year,Ralph lauren polo,%u201D Mr. Feldenkreis continued.

All the eight exhibitors in the Italian pavilion were happy with the response and had in fact come prepared with designs to suit sensibilities by retaining the fashion element that Italian jewellery. The exhibitors were keen to sell jewellery in India despite the high import duties and IIJS was perceived as an investment and a great marketing opportunity. Even a couple of first time exhibitors in the pavilion expressed satisfaction and indicated that they had received a lot of enquiries.
A series of seminars were conducted by prominent personalities from the industry covering issues such as Successful jewellery retailing in rural India, natural colored diamonds and advantages, lessons from China%u2019s gold jewellery growth, diamond treatments, e-selling, brand valuation, Kaizen and how can it help retail, best business practices etc. Albert Cheng, World Gold Council, Managing Director for the Far-East, provided some interesting insights into the Chinese success story in gold jewellery retailing at the seminar. Account to Mr. Cheng in a short span of time, Chinese consumers had become one of the world%u2019s leading consumers of the yellow metal, thanks to the liberalization of the gold market in 2002 coupled with the country%u2019s booming economic growth.
Elaborating on the key jewellery trends in China, Mr. Cheng said that the biggest buyers of 18k carat gold jewellery were individualistic, young, affluent consumers in major urban centers which are being specifically targeted by the WGC%u2019s advertising campaign titled K Gold. He observed that the recent increase in demand for 24 karat gold jewellery after the financial crisis reinforced the role of gold as a %u201Cstore of wealth%u201D.
At IIJS 2009,wholesale ralph lauren polo, Donna Baker, Gemological Institute of America (GIA), President and CEO launched a new diamond sealing service; which seals the diamond with its key grading information in a credit card-sized, tamper-resistant package.
